CPS Explanation

"CPS" is an abbreviation for "Championships-Points-Seasons".

For example, the Dallas Cowboys have won five championships in 58 Seasons. Since the sum of the number of teams in the NFL during those five championship seasons is 140, the Cowboys earn 140 points for those championships. The CPS for the Cowboys is thus 5 championships for 140 points divided by 58 seasons, or 5/140/58.

The Cowboys score is 2.41, the result of dividing 140 by 58.
